Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 03/23/23

Welcome to our Goalie Rankings brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!
Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.
We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.
In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).
Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to ensure the goals listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Joel Hofer (STL @ DET) – 27% Rostered
Once again, based on the numbers, Hofer looks like the third-best spot-start option but seems like the safest option. Brian Elliott grades out No.1 and is the best option if you’re only looking for a win (55.4% implied win%), but he has given up three-plus goals in 11 of his 18 starts (61.1%), so he’s a risk to your splits. Magnus Hellberg is No.2, but his 2.94 GAA and .899 SV% are a little concerning in the middle of the fantasy hockey playoffs. Meanwhile, Hofer has been outstanding in his first three starts of the season. After posting a .920 SV% in the AHL prior to his call-up, Hofer has stopped 93 of 97 shots (.959 SV%). Even in a shootout loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday, Hofer stopped 28 of 30 shots (.933 SV%).
