Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 03/24/23

Welcome to our Goalie Rankings brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!

Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to ensure the goals listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Semyon Varlamov (NYI @ CBJ) – 35% Rostered

  • Status: Unconfirmed ❌

It seems likely that Ilya Sorokin will get the start on Friday, but Varlamov would be the best spot-start option if he ends up getting the nod. Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page and Twitter, and pick him up after he’s confirmed. Outside of Varlamov, it’s risky to add Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (BUF), Michael Hutchinson (CBJ), or Karel Vejmelka (ARI) in a crucial week with tough matchups. Varlamov has struggled in three of his last four starts and is 3-5-1 with an .897 SV% in his last nine starts. Still, the Islanders have the second-highest implied win% and second-lowest implied goals against on the slate, so he’s the safest spot-start if he gets the nod. The Blue Jackets, who have lost seven of their last nine, will be without Patrik Laine on Friday and for the next 2-to-4 weeks.
