Goalie Rankings

Streaming Targets 🎯

Jack Campbell (EDM) – @ VAN (42% Owned)

Campbell was nothing short of a massive disappointment for the Oilers’ faithful after signing a five-year, $25 million contract before the start of last season. In 36 games (21-9-4), Campbell recorded a subpar 3.41 GAA and .888 SV% before ultimately losing the starting gig to rookie Stuart Skinner.

An otherwordly preseason saw Campbell post a gaudy 0.99 GAA along with a .971 SV% in three games (3-0-0), seemingly winning him the starting role to start the season. As was the case last season and in the playoffs, the leash will likely be short for Campbell in the Oilers’ crease if he is unable to string together consistent performances. The Oilers open their season tonight as -149 road favourites against a Canucks team that ranked 13th offensively last season, averaging 3.29 goals per game. On a night with limited streaming options, Campbell is your best bet.

Cam Talbot (LAK) – vs. COL (51% Owned)

Talbot appears to be the next best option in an otherwise less-than-ideal pool of streaming options on day two of the regular season. The Los Angeles Kings signed Talbot to a one-year, $1 million contract in the offseason, and he seems to have the inside track on the starting role over Phoenix Copley. Talbot will likely make his Kings regular-season debut tonight after a stellar preseason that saw him post a 1.20 GAA and .946 SV% in two appearances (1-0-0).

Last season, the Kings were very strong defensively but failed to get consistent goaltending. They come into Wednesday as +109 home underdogs against a potent Avalance attack. It’s far from a good matchup, but the Kings should do good job of limiting quality chances in front of Tablt this season, making him a streaming candidate or solid add as a No.3/No.4 fantasy netminder. Talbot should only be streamed in desperate situations today, as better options will become available throughout the week.
