Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 10/19/22

Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to make sure the goalies listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Streaming Targets 🎯

Martin Jones (SEA – G) – 2% Rostered

If Carter Hart ends up starting on back-to-back nights, Jones is the only real streaming option on Wednesday’s three-game slate. Jones’ first start with the Kraken went very well, as he stopped 26 of 27 shots in a win over the Kings. However, he struggled in his second outing, surrendering five goals on 24 shots (.792 SV%) in a loss to the Golden Knights. Tonight he’ll face a Blues team that has only played one game so far, but they pounded the Blue Jackets. It’s definitely not the ideal spot-start matchup, but if you’ve already punted the goalie categories for the week, Jones is your only option. To make you feel better about having to stream him, he’s 7-6-2 with a 1.97 GAA and .926 SV% in 15 career games vs. St. Louis–probably part of the reason why he’s starting tonight.
