Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 10/21/22

Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to make sure the goalies listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Goalie Rankings

Streaming Targets 🎯

Pavel Francouz – 52% Rostered

Francouz is under-rostered as he is only owned in about 50% of Yahoo Leagues which is a bonus for owners looking to grab a great spot start on Friday. It is always a good idea to stream whichever netminder the Avalanche puts between the pipes, as they usually will hold a high chance of getting a win regardless of how they affect the game. He struggled in his only start of the season, allowing five goals on 27 shots (.815 SV%) but will be looking to bounce back in his second start to somewhere closer to his .919 career SV%. With the Avalanche currently 6th in the NHL in goals per game (4.25), Francouz makes a great start if looking for a should-be win and good across-the-board stats.

Alex Nedeljkovic – 41% Rostered

Nedjelkovic enters Friday as a solid streaming option as the Red Wings head to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks. With availability in nearly 60% of leagues, he makes a perfect starter on a light schedule to steal some crucial fantasy categories. He stopped 37 of 39 shots in an impressive 5-2 victory vs. New Jersey in his only start of the season. Chicago always makes for a very good matchup for goaltenders as they lack any sort of firepower beyond Patrick Kane, which has led to them ranking 29th in the NHL in GF (2.33) and 31st in SOG (23.0). Plug in Nedeljkovic confidently as the wings look to win for the fourth time in five games.
