Goalie Rankings

Streaming Targets 🎯
Jonas Johansson (TBL) – vs. SJS (60% Owned)
Johansson is a top-5 option on Thursday but is only available in 40 percent of leagues. If you’re in one of those leagues, then Johansson is the top spot-start option tonight. He has the highest implied win% (74.6%) and second-lowest implied goals against (2.5) on the 11-game slate. He’ll face a Sharks team with the second-lowest xGF/60 (2.39) and lowest GF/60 (1.32) in the NHL. Matchups don’t get better than this.
Scott Wedgewood (DAL) – vs. TOR (3% Owned)
Widely available, Wedgewood will get the nod for the second time in the last three games for the Dallas Stars. The Stars coaching staff has made it clear they don’t want to overwork Oettinger this season so a start one of every three games could be a realistic expectation for Wedgewood.
The Stars are one of four teams that has yet to lose in regulation (4-0-1) but will be seriously put to the test against a Maple Leafs team that has scored eight goals in their last two games (2-0-0). Wedgewood started a game against his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs last season and performed admirably despite a 3-2 overtime loss, making 40 of 43 saves. That said, Wedgewood remains a risky, coinflip option, with a 52.2 implied win%.
Sam Montembeault (MTL) – vs. CBJ (12% Owned)
Montembeault will return to the Canadiens’ goal crease for the first time since October 17th, when he allowed five goals on 35 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild. Montembeault has a 53.1 implied winning percentage tonight, aided in part by the Columbus Blue Jackets being without Patrik Laine. However, even without Laine, the Blue Jackets have scored seven goals in two games (1-1-0) and will pose a challenge against a Canadiens team (-109 home favourites) that has been outscored 20-18 to start the season (3-2-1).
