Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 11/02/22

Welcome to our Goalie Rankings brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!

Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to ensure the goals listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Casey DeSmith (PIT @ BUF) – 15% Rostered

DeSmith will be looking to pick up his first win of the 2021-22 season in a milestone game Wednesday, as it is the five-year veteran’s 100th career game played. The 15% rostered Pittsburgh backup sports a solid .913 SV% and 2.97 GAA in his three starts, even though he holds a 0-2-1 record. His issue has been Pittsburgh’s lack of offensive support in his starts as the Penguins average 1.33 GF in games he’s taken the crease. Considering he has a career .915 SV% and 2.68 GAA, he makes a great start anytime he gets the nod instead of Tristian Jarry. He will face a hot Buffalo team who ranks second in the NHL in goals-for-per game (4.11) but he’s the best low-owned option on a small two-game slate. It’s also worth noting that the Sabres have the fourth-most goals above expected and are riding the third-highest SH% (12.42) in the NHL, so regression is likely coming for them sooner rather than later.
