Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.
We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

Casey DeSmith (PIT @ WSH) – 8% Rostered
DeSmith is still searching for his first win of the season, having gone 0-3-1 with a 3.25 GAA and .904 SV%. Tonight he’ll face a Capitals team that remains without John Carlson and Dmitry Orlov on the back end. The Penguins are -126 road favourites and the Capitals have the third-lowest implied total (3.2) on the slate, making DeSmith the top streaming option of the night.
Filip Gustavsson (MIN @ ANA) – 4% Rostered
With Marc-Andre Fleury starting last night in Los Angeles, Gustavsson will make his third start of the season. Gustavsson’s start with the Wild hasn’t gone great, allowing a combined 10 goals on 82 shots (.878 SV%). Still, he draws a great matchup on Wednesday, as the Ducks rank second-last in the NHL in xGF/60 (2.34).
