Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily. 

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals. 

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Streaming Targets 🎯

Filip Gustavsson (MIN @ SJS) – 43% Rostered

Gustavsson is the best streaming option under 50 percent rostered, but he’s only available in 57 percent of leagues. He’s been on a tear as of late, winning six straight starts and only giving up more than two goals in one of those games. In total, he’s 6-0-0 with a 1.48 GAA, .945 SV% and one shutout in his last six. Tonight he faces a Sharks team that will be missing Tomas Hertl (suspension) and has lost seven of their last nine games. Gustavsson has the third-highest implied win% (61.7) and tied for the third-lowest implied goals against (2.7) on the slate.

Dan Vladar (CGY @ LAK) – 22% Rostered

If Gustavsson isn’t available in your league, Vladar is the next best option. Vladar has the sixth-highest implied win% (53.7) and tied for the fifth-lowest implied goals against (3.0) on the slate–both are the lowest among goalies under 30 percent rostered. Vladar has won four of his last five starts while posting a 2.80 GAA and .903 SV%.
