Fantasy Hockey: Risers & Fallers (Week 15)

RISERS
Dylan Cozens, C, Buffalo Sabres (OWNED: 56%)
In 10 outings since Buffalo’s extended holiday break, the 21-year-old centre has tallied three goals and 10 points. Cozens, who’s currently in a contract year (RFA), should be grabbed immediately. He’s red-hot and trending towards having a monster second half.
K’Andre Miller, D, New York Rangers (OWNED: 55%)
With an assist on Sunday against Montreal, the defender extended his point streak to a career-high six games (three goals, five assists, eight points). Furthermore, over his past 20 outings, Miller’s notched five goals and 11 helpers for 16 points. If you need blueline help, Miller’s unequivocally your guy.
Matty Beniers, C, Seattle Kraken (OWNED: 54%)
Slowly but surely, the former Michigan Wolverine has started to separate himself from the pack when it comes to the Calder Trophy. During Seattle’s current seven-game win streak, not only has the 20-year-old picked up six goals, but he’s notched five multi-point efforts as well. Scoop him up ASAP.
Lucas Raymond, RW, Detroit Red Wings (OWNED: 46%)
For starters, the sophomore forward has notched a goal in three straight contests and five of his past seven. In addition to that, he’s racked up 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in the past 10 games. Quietly, Raymond’s on pace for 26 goals and 60 points, which would pretty much fall in line with what he put together in his rookie campaign. Add!
Max Domi, C/LW/RW, Chicago Blackhawks (OWNED: 21%)
Chicago may stink, but at least they’re scoring goals. In his past 10 games, Domi, who very well could be on the move between now and the March 3rd trade deadline, has picked up three goals, six assists and nine points. The Blackhawks play four times this week. Take a flier.
FALLERS
Morgan Rielly, D, Toronto Maple Leafs (OWNED: 94%)
In nine games since returning from a knee injury, the 28-year-old has tallied just three measly assists to go along with a minus-5 rating. Simply put, he just doesn’t look right. In general, even before he got banged up, it’s been an ‘off’ year for Rielly who’s yet to score a goal through 29 appearances this season for the Maple Leafs. Gauge the trade market.
Logan Thompson, G, Vegas Golden Knights (OWNED: 92%)
In 14 appearances since December 1st, the rookie netminder has compiled a 6-7-1 record with a 3.02 goals-against average and 0.903 save-percentage. Additionally, he’s surrendered three goals or more in five of his past six starts. On top of that, Vegas just lost Mark Stone indefinitely due to an upper body injury. Translation: Now’s a good time to contemplate selling high on Thompson.
Devon Toews, D, Colorado Avalanche (OWNED: 89%)
After a storybook 2021-22, regression has hit the 28-year-old blueliner hard in 2022-23. Toews scored 13 times and tallied 57 points in 66 games last season, he has just three goals and 21 points in 39 outings this time around. Shop for an upgrade.
Evgeny Kuznetsov, C, Washington Capitals (OWNED: 82%)
All-in-all, Kuznetsov’s had a solid season. That said, indisputably, he’s hit a bit of a rough patch lately going pointless in four straight games. While these developments are certainly nothing to panic about, it is fascinating to see how the Capitals fair in the second half. Weirdly, they’ve struggled to score since Backstrom and Wilson returned. Acquire him.
Pyotr Kochetkov, G, Carolina Hurricanes (OWNED: 57%)
It appears that Rod Brind’Amour and the Canes want no part of a three-goalie system —at least for the time being. On Sunday night, news surprisingly broke that Kotchetkov was being reassigned to the AHL. And all things being equal, that was probably the right decision. Since January 1st, the 23-year-old rookie goalie is 0-3-1 with a 3.72 goals-against average and 0.861 save-percentage. Easy drop in non-keeper league formats.
