Fantasy Hockey: Week 19 Streaming Targets 🎯

Using both our Weekly Schedule tool and the newly created Weekly Strength of Schedule Tool, I have identified which teams are the best to target for streaming players this week.

Below you will find some of the top streaming options for the week under 20 percent owned in Yahoo! fantasy leagues. Streaming a roster spot or two can help you maximize the number of games each week and increase your chances of winning the week.

Erik Haula – BOS – C/LW (3% Owned)

Haula has two points in his last two games (0G / 2A) after going pointless in his previous six. Before that six-game slump, he had 12 points (4 G / 8A) in 14 games. So, what disrupted his production? Brad Marchand (100%) was suspended for those six games.

With Marchand out of the lineup, Haula lost both of his wingers, Taylor Hall (70%) and David Pastrnak (100%). Take away that six-game stretch, and Haula has been remarkably consistent, registering 14 points (4G / 10A) in the 16 games that trio has been together. Haula also contributes with a steady dose of hits and, assuming that second-line stays intact, makes for a great addition this coming week and perhaps beyond.

Jake DeBrusk – BOS – LW/RW (6% Owned)

DeBrusk had a great debut as the latest player to audition for a spot on the top line with Marchand and Patrice Bergeron (97%), scoring two goals and playing a season-high 18:46. Going back a little further and including the two games he has played with the duo, he has five points (4G / 1A) in his last four games.

DeBrusk has had a disappointing season with only 15 points (7G / 8A) in the 43 games prior, highlighted by his request to be traded earlier in the season. However, with the trade deadline looming, DeBrusk seems to have elevated his game, and with two of four games this week against the Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets, he could see his trade stock increase even more.

Frederick Gaudreau – MIN – C (3% Owned)

Gaudreau is centring a red-hot second line in Minnesota with Kevin Fiala (79%) and Matt Boldy (34%) on his wings. Gaudreau doesn’t see much powerplay time but has been effective of late at even-strength playing with those two star-wingers. He has nine points in his last 10 games (4G / 5A) and should continue to get plenty of opportunities to produce with his current even-strength deployment. The Minnesota Wild play four games this week, including favourable matchups against the Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres.

Corey Perry – TBL – RW (8% Owned)

Perry of yesteryear is back! Well, sort of. Perry has been producing fairly consistently of late and is on one of the best runs he has been on in years. He has 22 points (11G / 11A) in his last 28 games and is averaging 1.0 hits per game over that stretch. Even more impressive is most of this production has been at even strength while often playing on the third line.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have a dream schedule and could be in for some high-scoring matchups with three of four games this week against the Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks. Perry’s best days are clearly behind him, but at least for now, he’s showing he still has something left to offer.

Nino Niederreiter – CAR – LW/RW (19% Owned)

Niederreiter has five points (2G / 3A) in his last five games and has seen a resurgence of play lately, playing alongside an equally hot Jordan Staal (21%). Niederreiter has been known to be a streaky player in the past, and although his linemates and deployment aren’t as advantageous as som

e of the others on this list, you should feel comfortable riding him while he’s hot. Niederreiter only has 28 points (16G / 12A) in 45 games this season but will be looking to improve on those numbers and his recent string of hot play with two of four games this week against the Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Kraken.

Yegor Sharangovich – NJD – C/LW/RW (15% Owned)

The Devils have a great schedule this week, including games on Monday, Friday and Sunday, so it will be easy to get Sharangovich in your lineup. In total, they have four games and the fourth-easiest schedule of the week. Sharangovich has been on fire, playing exclusively on a line with Jack Hughes, scoring four goals with five assists (nine points) during a six-game point streak.
