Flames acquire Tyler Pitlick from Seattle in exchange for a fourth-round pick

Tyler Pitlick’s career as a member of the Seattle Kraken was very short.
Seattle selected Pitlick from the Arizona Coyotes in the Expansion Draft on Wednesday and, one day later, they flipped him to the Calgary Flames for a fourth-round pick.
#SeaKraken are trading Tyler Pitlick to #Flames for a 2022 4th round pick.
Pitlick inked a two-year deal with the Coyotes last fall worth $1,750,000 annually, so he’ll be a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Originally drafted by the Oilers with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2010 draft, Pitlick is now joining his fifth NHL club. He spent six seasons in the Oilers organization, signed a three-year deal in free agency with the Stars, got traded to the Flyers, and then signed in Arizona.
All told, he’s played 286 games in the NHL, scoring 47 goals and 84 points. Most recently, he scored six goals and 11 points in 38 games for the Coyotes.
