[FREE PREVIEW] DFS 5v5 SCORE – Nov.26 (EARLY SLATE)

It breaks down the coaching matchups, which lines will face each other the most and who are the best offensive/defensive lines and figures out who has the biggest advantages on the slate.

I have also recently added a Power-Play Score and a defenseman tool, to help identify who the top value defensemen are.

Below I have a few breakdowns of how to read these charts and the link to the free preview for this afternoon’s four-game slate.

Matchups

I break down each game, which lines will face each other the most and which lines have the most advantageous matchups on the slate. Their matchup score is based on the percentage of time they will face each line x their opponent’s Defensive Score and then Ranked from 0 to 100 for that specific slate.

Line Stats

I have key Offensive and Defensive metrics listed for every line on the slate. The metrics are combined into one easy-to-digest number (O-Score). O-Score is a Z-Score for all of the key metrics for all lines on the slate, the higher (Blue) the O-Score the better that line is at producing offence. The lower (Red) the worse they are. The same goes for the Defensive stats (D-Score).

5v5 SCORE

Every single number in the charts is condensed into the 5v5 SCORE. It basically simulates each game with the TOI I have projected vs. each line and determines which lines are most likely to generate scoring chances and expected goals. Those projections are compared to every other line on the slate to give you a 5v5 SCORE. The higher the score, the better they are are for that slate.
