After spending 16 seasons in the NHL between the Ottawa Senators and Dallas Stars, the Toronto native joined the Maple Leafs during the 2019-20 off-season to finish off his career with his hometown team. In two seasons with the Leafs, Spezza has produced well in a depth role, scoring 19 goals and 55 points over 112 games.
Spezza is 30 points away from reaching the 1,000 point plateau in his career. Assuming @Ryan Getzlaf (982) and @Nicklas Backstrom (980) get there first, he would become the 94th player ever to do so.
