Leon Draisaitl continued his reign over the Nashville Predators in Tuesday night’s 6-1 victory. Daily Faceoff president and insider Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk talked about how the 27-year-old has become one of the most dominant active players in the league when it comes to scoring against a single opponent.

Tyler Yaremchuk: The mayor of Smashville has been re-elected for another term. It took very little time for Leon Draisaitl to continue his dominance of the Nashville Predators. He scored the first goal just three minutes in and finished with three points in just the first period, finishing the night with four points. His dominance of the Predators is unlike anything else in the NHL right now.

Frank Seravalli: Yeah, it’s incredibly odd. If you take a look at his dominance, 24 goals in 24 games, there’s no one else in the NHL that’s active that has one goal per game against an opponent with a minimum of 20 games. You take a look at the NHL goals per game vs opponents; there are some incredible achievements. David Pastrnak had 24 goals in 28 games against the Flyers, Auston Matthews with 19 goals in 21 games against the Vancouver Canucks, and Alex Ovechkin with 19 goals in 21 games against the Minnesota Wild. But none are quite as impressive as Draisaitl, and the scariest part is that Draisaitl has 22 goals in his last 12 games against the Predators.

Frank Seravalli: It’s insane, and I think my favourite part about all of this is how much he hates it and how much he hates talking about it. I’m sorry, but when you can go to an arena and stamp your name on the side because you own them, it’s got to be fun to talk about; even his teammates are giving him a hard time.
