Looking back at Connor Bedard’s illustrious WHL career

Following a Game 7 defeat to the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League (WHL) playoffs, Connor Bedard’s historic and illustrious WHL career has come to a close. The Regina Pats were eliminated from the playoffs on Monday following a wild-seven game run.
Frank Seravalli and Mike McKenna took to Daily Faceoff Live to highlight his phenomenal career:
Frank Seravalli: Mike, we’ve had our eye on the playoff chase in the NHL, and while it’s kept us busy, Connor Bedard’s WHL season and likely junior hockey career ended Monday evening. You see the tweet here from Regina Pats play-by-play man Dante De Caria said this is your last view of him in the Dub, devastated. A tough ending for Bedard and the Pats as they lose to the Saskatoon Blades in game seven on Monday evening in the first round of the WHL playoffs. Bedard ended the season as the WHL Player of the Week with no surprise, as he scored 11 points in a four-game run in the playoffs. When you look at Bedard, certainly everyone is waiting now for May 8th to see where he goes in the NHL Draft Lottery. What a run it’s been, 29 point difference between them and the Saskatoon Blades this season on the back of Bedard taking them to game seven. You look at the playoffs, and he had 20 points in that seven games; wow. What a season for Connor Bedard, 143 points in 57 games makes your brain explode.
Devestated.
That might be the last time you’ll ever see Connor Bedard on the ice in the WHL. Whata fun ride it’s been.
This kid is the kindest, most dedicated and hardest working kid I’ve ever met. I can’t wait for what’s next. pic.twitter.com/ms6TR2GlLv
Mike McKenna: He’s going to be unbelievable, generational, I have no doubt about it, Frank.
