Kings sign Henry Brzustewicz to entry-level contract

The Los Angeles Kings’ first-round pick from the 2025 NHL Draft has taken the next step.
On Saturday, the Kings announced that defenseman Henry Brzustewicz had signed his three-year entry-level contract and that he will step up to the professional level with the AHL’s Ontario Reign for the rest of the 2025-26 season, doing so initially on a Professional Tryout Opportunity.
Selected 31st overall in the first round of last year’s NHL Draft, the 19-year-old recently wrapped up his third season with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, where he scored 19 goals and 35 assists for a team-leading 54 points through the regular season.

While his heroics helped the Knights to fourth-place in the OHL’s Western Conference, he and his team couldn’t muster up enough to advance further than the first round of the playoffs, falling to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in five games, ended by a 4–0 loss on Friday night.
Outside of his regular season totals, Brzustewicz added a pair of assists in the series with the Greyhounds, but failed to hit the back of the net himself.
Although his 2025-26 OHL campaign ended in disappointment, Brzustewicz can still call himself an OHL Champion, winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup en route to lifting Canadian junior hockey’s greatest honor, the Memorial Cup in 2024-25.
Through the 2024-25 regular season, Brzustewicz skated in 67 regular-season games, scoring 10 goals and 42 points, before netting a goal and four assists in 17 OHL playoff games. It all led to a goal and two points in five games through the Memorial Cup tournament in Rimouski.
Overall, he wrapped up his 178-game regular-season OHL career with 31 goals and 71 assists for 102 points before signing with the Kings.
Standing at 6’2”, 205 pounds, Brzustewicz enters the pro-game with size and puck-moving ability, as well as strong defensive instincts. Now, he looks to help the Reign finish off the regular season before entering the Calder Cup Playoffs as one of the top seeds in the Pacific Division.
