The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Ryan Hartman to a three-year contract extension worth an AAV of $1.7-million.

PuckPedia were first to report the contract details.

Hartman, 26, is in his second season with the Minnesota Wild after signing as a free agent with the club on July 1, 2019. Hartman has since scored 38 points in 109 games with the Wild and is currently scoring at the highest pace of his career this season. His .45 points-per-game with 18 points in 40 games, is the highest rate he scored at since the 2017-19 season where he scored at a .4 PPG pace.

According to hockeyviz.com, Hartman provides offence at a one percent rate below league average and defence at a two percent rate above league average.

Hartman has been dynamite on the penalty kill for the Wild this year, providing 27 percent fewer expected goals against than league average.
