Moritz Seider named top defenceman at 2021 World Hockey Championships

Young German defender Moritz Seider was named the Best Defenceman at the 2021 World Hockey Championships

Though Germany was ultimately dropped by the United States in the Bronze Medal Game over the weekend, the team put up a strong tournament and their young star defenceman played a key role. Seider put up five assists in 10 games while manning Germany’s top defensive pairing.

The former No. 6 overall pick of the Detroit Red Wings will likely break into the NHL for the 2021-22 season.
