The Nashville Predators have signed two familiar names to the team’s farm system: goaltender Troy Grosenick on a one-year, $775,000 deal, and forward Anthony Angello to a two-year deal with a $775,000 AAV contract.

Grosenick, 33, is a long-time standout in the AHL. He has a career record of 152-93-40 with 19 shutouts, including a 47-27-12 record over three seasons with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. Grosenick was the AHL’s top goaltender during the 2016-17 season while leading the way with 10 shutouts for the San Jose Barracuda. He had the league’s best GAA (2.00) and SP (.933) during the 2021-22 season with Providence before moving over to Lehigh Valley last year. He has a 2-2-0 record in four games with one shutout and a .933 save percentage.

Angello, 27, is a big 6-foot-5 forward with 31 games of NHL experience over three years. He split last year between Springfield and Milwaukee of the AHL and played his best hockey with the Admirals, recording seven goals and 12 points in 17 games. He struggled in the playoffs, but the hard-nosed forward is a decent depth piece that wasn’t afraid to lay the body with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the past.

The Preds have $11.279 million in cap space for next year, with both of these signings expected to play in the AHL next year.
