Nashville Predators claim Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from Los Angeles

The Nashville Predators have claimed forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday afternoon.
The Kings placed Anderson-Dolan – along with defenseman Jacob Moverare – on waivers on Wednesday. Moverare cleared, as did Philadelphia Flyers forward Ryan Johansen and Florida Panthers winger Will Lockwood.
Anderson-Dolan also spent his entire NHL career with the Kings since getting drafted 41st overall in 2017. The winger has four points in 30 NHL games this season, his sixth season in the NHL. He also has two goals in three games with the Reign, and has a career total of 79 points in 115 AHL games.
Outside of the NHL, Anderson-Dolan won gold with Canada at both the 2015 U-17 World Hockey Challenge and the 2021 IIHF men’s World Hockey Championship.
JAD will become an RFA with arbitration rights after his $775,000 deal ends.
Anderson-Dolan is the second player to be waived by the Kings and sent to the Predators this year. Forward Samuel Fagemo was claimed by the Predators early in the season, but the Kings reclaimed him in November.
It’s been a busy day for the Predators, who earlier acquired Anthony Beauvillier from the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Predators are in the midst of a playoff push and can use as much help at forward as they can get. They currently sit in fourth place in the Central Division (and in the second wild card spot in the Western Conference) with a 35–25–3 record and 73 points in 63 games this season.
