Put it in ink ✍️ We've signed forward Jake Lucchini to a one-year, two-way contract beginning in the 2026-27 season.
It’s a little bit of a pay bump for Lucchini, who’s in the final season of a two-year contract that he signed with the Predators in July 2024. That one-way deal pays a league minimum salary of $775,000.
The 30-year-old has spent the entire 2025-26 campaign with Nashville’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. For the second year in a row, he has been one of the team’s top offensive weapons as the Admirals pursue another berth in the Calder Cup Playoffs. After posting 45 points in 70 games last year, Lucchini has registered 13 goals and 25 assists for 38 points, good for second on the team in scoring.
Lucchini’s last bit of NHL experience came a season ago, when he appeared in three games for the Predators in early March before the trade deadline. He didn’t score a point, but had a plus/minus of -2 while averaging 11:29 of ice time.
In 54 career NHL games, including stops with the Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild, the Trail, B.C., native has scored three goals and three assists for six points. In 385 regular-season appearances in the AHL, he has notched 104 goals and 139 assists for 243 points, with another six points in 12 postseason contests.
The Predators (26-24-7) come out of the Olympic break sitting fifth in the Central Division, sitting four points back of the Anaheim Ducks for the last Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
