Nathan MacKinnon will return to the Avalanche lineup on Wednesday

Nathan MacKinnon will make his return from injury on Wednesday when the Colorado Avalanche take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Avs head coach Jared Bednar confirmed that would be the case during his weekly appearance on Altitude Radio, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.

MacKinnon has missed the last three weeks of play due to a lower-body injury. During his absence, Colorado put up an impressive 7-1-0 record, fuelled largely by a Nazem Kadri hot streak in which he’s scored 21 points over his last 10 games.
At practice on Monday, MacKinnon was centering Colorado’s top line with Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen on his wings and he was on the point on the team’s top power-play unit.
