— BHF (@BlackhawksFocus) November 13, 2025The Winnipeg native also missed a period of seven games with an upper-body injury earlier in the season, and it’s unknown if the two injury absences are at all connected.
With star center Jack Hughes out the next while with a hand injury, the Devils will welcome Glass back as much-needed help down the middle. Expect him to step right into a middle-six center role for the team.
In only 10 games played so far, Glass has managed just three assists.
The Devils acquired Glass from the Pittsburgh Penguins at last season’s trade deadline, getting him and forward Jonathan Gruden in exchange for forward Chase Stillman, prospect Max Graham, and a third-round pick. In the 14 regular-season games Glass played for New Jersey after the trade, he put up 2 goals and five assists for seven points. He then went pointless in the Devils’ five-game first-round playoff loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Glass was selected sixth overall by the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2017, making him the franchise’s first ever pick in the NHL Entry Draft. While he has yet to make good on the offensive potential he showed with the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, he has developed into a valuable all-around center when healty.
New Jersey, who currently sits third in the Metropolitan Division with 27 points in 21 games, begins a stretch of six home games in seven days when they host the Red Wings on Monday.
