According to TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, the fourth round pick becomes a third rounder in 2022 or 2023 if the Islanders make the finals with New York having the option of choosing which pick to send.
Palmieri, 29, spent the last five seasons with the Devils after being acquired by the club in a June 2015 deal with the Anaheim Ducks. He now joins the Islanders after scoring 183 goals and 255 points in 595 career games.
Zajac, 35, meanwhile, leaves the Devils after spending his entire 15-year career with the club. Drafted by them in the first round of the 2004 draft, Zajac had scored 550 points in 1024 games with the organization.
Greer, 24, joins the Devils as his third NHL organization after being drafted by Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the 2015 draft. He’s appeared in only 37 NHL games scoring one goal and six points, but has spent most of his time in the AHL. There, over 209 games, he’s scored 59 goals and 129 points.
Jobst, 27, is in his second year of pro hockey and has appeared in 50 AHL games scoring five goals and 15 points.
