The New York Islanders have been cleared to resume playing their games after COVID-19 paused their schedule.
The Islanders season will continue Thursday night against the visiting San Jose Sharks.
Games against the New York Rangers (Nov. 28) and Philadelphia Flyers (Nov. 30) were postponed last week after up to eight Islanders players may have been unable to play. Additional cases were possible, too, and the pausing of their season was to help limit potential spread.
In a statement, the NHL said they are working at revising the Islanders’ regular-season schedule.
