The New York Rangers continue to clean house with the team now firing head coach David Quinn.

New York also dismissed assistant coaches David Oliver, Greg Brown and Jacques Martin, while retaining goalie coach Benoit Allaire.

The move follows the firings of president John Davidson and general manager Jeff Gorton last week.

“I would like to thank David Quinn, David Oliver, Jacques Martin and Greg Brown for all of their efforts and dedication to the Rangers,” said Chris Drury, who replaced the aforementioned pair as president and general manager. “I wish each of them the best in their future endeavors. We will begin our search for a new head coach immediately.”

Quinn, 54, spent three seasons behind the Rangers bench posting a 96-87-25 record, making the playoffs once in 2019-20, but were swept in three games in the qualifying round by the Carolina Hurricanes.

This year, the Rangers posted a solid 27-23-6 record scoring the 10th most goals for and allowed the 14th least goals against missing the playoffs by 11 points in an absolutely stacked east division.
