The New York Sirens announced Wednesday that forward Savannah Norcross sustained a lower-body injury and has been placed on long-term injured reserve, ending her 2025-26 season.

The team also announced they have signed rookie forward Kira Juodikis to a standard player agreement.

“Losing players to LTIR is never part of the plan, but adversity creates opportunity, and Kira has shown character and leadership behind the scenes,” Sirens’ general manager Pascal Daoust said in a team statement. “Now she has the chance to bring that to life on the ice through her play, her physicality, and her commitment to doing whatever the team needs.”

Juodikis, 22, spent the majority of the 2025-26 campaign with Switzerland’s SWHL A league, where she scored 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 24 games with ZSC Lions Frauen.

She played college hockey at the University of New Hampshire, where she finished with 56 goals and 37 assists for 93 points in 134 career NCAA games.

As for Norcross, she posted a goal and assist in 23 games with New York this season. She played for the Sirens during the league’s inaugural season, recording an assist in 20 games, then spent 2024-25 with Lulea HF in Sweden’s top domestic league, where she scored five goals and added 13 assists for 18 points.

In five NCAA seasons, Norcross, a native of Lynn, Mass., scored 38 goals and recorded 39 assists for 77 points in 167 games with Boston College and the University of Minnesota.

The Sirens go into Wednesday night with an 8-2-3-13 record and 31 points, sixth in the PWHL and five points back of the fourth and final playoff spot. They host the Toronto Sceptres Wednesday in their final home game of the 2025-26 regular season.
