NHL announces Round 2 start dates
Let the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs commence.
The NHL has released the dates and starting times for the series-opening games of the second round.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals will kick off their second-round matchup on Thursday, April 26 in Washington. The game will start at 7:00 PM EST.
Game 1 of the Second Round series between the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights has been set for 10:00 PM EST on Thursday, April 26.
The Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators will kick off their second-round series Friday, April 27 at 8:00 PM EST in Nashville.
Game 1 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the winner of the Toronto/Boston series has been set for Saturday. If Boston advances, the start time of Game 1 between the Bruins and Lightning would be set for 3:00 PM EST in Tampa Bay. If Toronto advances, the start time of Game 1 between the Maple Leafs and Lightning would be set for 8:00 PM EST in Tampa Bay.
In Canada, CBC will be broadcasting Game 1 of all four second-round series. In the event the Bruins defeat the Maple Leafs, Game 1 between the Lightning and Bruins would be shown on Sportsnet instead.
In the USA, NBCSN will be carrying Game 1 of all-four second round-series. In the event the Bruins defeat the Maple Leafs, Game 1 between the Lightning and Bruins would be carried by NBC instead.
