Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid once again etched his name into NHL history.

It was during the first period when McDavid hit the 800-point mark by picking up an assist against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

McDavid would record his 43rd goal of the season later on during the third period to put the Oilers up 3-2, he would then pick up an empty net goal for his second of the night and 44th goal of the season. McDavid finished the night with two goals and one assist.

The 26-year-old became the fifth fastest player to reach the 800-point milestone, McDavid notched 800 points (283 goals, 519 assists) in 545 games played. He trails Peter Stastny at 531, Mike Bossy at 525, Mario Lemieux at 410 and The Great One Wayne Gretzky at 352 games.
