Ottawa Senators acquire Patrick Brown from Philadelphia Flyers

A trade tight to the NHL’s Friday deadline has seen the Philadelphia Flyers trade forward Patrick Brown to the Ottawa Senators.
The trade was first reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman and sees the Flyers receiving a sixth-round draft pick in 2023.

Undrafted, Brown has appeared in 120 NHL games over the last seven seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights and the Flyers scoring eight goals and 19 points.
According to hockeyviz.com, Brown has provided even-strength offence at a five percent rate below league average and even-strength defence at a five percent rate above league average.
Brown is the son of former NHL’er Doug Brown, who played 854 NHL games witNew Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Detroit Red Wings, with whom he won the 1997 and 1998 Stanley Cup. Much like his father, Patrick spent four years at Boston College in the NCAA where he was a three-time NCAA Hockey East champion.
