The Ottawa Senators and St. Louis Blues have struck a Saturday afternoon deal that sees them flip two forwards.

According to our own Frank Seravalli, the Blues will be acquiring forward @Logan Brown and a conditional 2022 draft pick in exchange for @Zach Sanford. The condition on the pick, according to Seravalli, will be null if Brown plays over 30 NHL games this year.

The Senators just re-signed Brown, 23, to a one-year, $750,000 deal. The 2016 1st round pick has appeared in just 30 NHL games since being drafted scoring one goal and nine points.

The 6’6, 218. lb centre has appeared in 94 AHL games with the Belleville Senators scoring 23 goals and 79 points.

Sanford, 26, was originially drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft by the Washington Capitals. He’s spent the last four season with the Blues appearing in 183 games scoring 36 goals and 71 points.

Sanford had also inked a new deal this offseason, a one-year, $2-million deal.
