Of the Ottawa Senators eight currently-injured players, none of them will be returning to the lineup before the end of the season next week.

Currently on the shelf for the Senators is Josh Norris, Anton Forsberg, Parker Kelly, Thomas Chabot, Jakob Chychrun, Derick Brassard, Travis Hamonic, and Austin Watson.

Norris has missed a majority of the season with a shoulder injury, as he got hurt after five games in October, and was expected to be out for the rest of the season. He then made a surprise return in January, where he played three games before re-injuring his shoulder and officially being confirmed as out for the season. He had two goals, an assist, and three points in his eight games this year.

Forsberg has been out since February with a knee injury in what was expected to be a season playing in tandem with Cam Talbot. He got into just 28 games this season, with just an 11-11-2 record, two shutouts, a .902% save percentage, and 2.94 5v5 goals saved above expected.

Kelly has missed most of the last two months, with just one game played after February 20th, and is currently dealing with an injury to his kneecap. He had a goal, three assists, and four points in 55 games this season.

Chychrun has been out of the lineup since the end of March with an injury to his hamstring, getting into just 12 games since being dealt to the Senators at the deadline. He had 9 goals, 24 assists, and 33 points in 48 games this season, including two goals, three assists, and five points in those 12 games with the Sens.

Chabot has also been out since the end of March with an upper-body injury. It cut short what was his second-best season, with 11 goals, 30 assists, and 41 points in 68 games this year.

Brassard has missed the last week with a leg injury, and was confirmed out for the rest of the season on April 1st. He had 13 goals, 10 assists, and 23 points in 62 games this year.

Hamonic got hurt in the same game as Brassard, leaving with a lower-body injury, although he wasn’t confirmed to be out for the year until earlier this week. He had 6 goals, 15 assists, and 21 points in 75 games this season.

Watson is the most recent addition to the shelf, as he suffered a lower-body injury during Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers. He had 9 goals, 2 assists, and 11 points in 75 games this season.
