Philadelphia Flyers place Felix Sandstrom on waivers

The Philadelphia Flyers have activated goaltender Felix Sandstrom off injured reserve, and has subsequently placed him on waivers.
The 26-year-old has yet to suit up for an NHL game in 2023-24, but did see action in two AHL games on a conditioning stint. Sandstrom allowed four goals in a 4-3 overtime loss over Hershey on Nov. 1 before getting a period of relief work against Hartford on Nov. 3.
Drafted 70th overall in 2015, Sandstron has spent his entire NHL career with the Flyers organization. He has a 3-16-4 record with an .887 save percentage in 25 games, along with a 26-22-13 run with the Phantoms.
If Sandstrom clears, he’ll likely be returned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The Flyers currently have Carter Hart and Samuel Ersson with the big club, while Cal Petersen also started two games when Hart missed games earlier this year.
The Flyers are currently riding a four-game winning streal, pushing them over the New Jersey Devils for fourth in the Metropolitan Division. They’re set to battle Columbus later today before getting a few days ahead of their trip to face the New York Islanders on Nov. 22.
