Pierre-Luc Dubois to make Winnipeg Jets debut on Tuesday

@Pierre-Luc Dubois is set to make his Winnipeg Jets debut on Tuesday.

The former No. 3 overall pick was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic back in January.

Dubois spent two weeks in quarantine upon crossing the Canada-U.S. border after the trade and participated in his first practice with the Jets on Sunday. He was skating on the Jets’ third line with @Kyle Connor and @Trevor Lewis on his wings and was stationed on the right-wing half wall on the team’s second power-play unit.

Winnipeg’s line combinations can be viewed here.

“I felt good out there skating with (Connor) and (Lewis) — two amazing players. (Connor) is one of the most underrated players in the NHL and (Lewis) brings that experience, he’s helping me with all the systems and everything, he can pass the puck, he works really hard,” Dubois said after practice with his new team.

Dubois had one goal in five games with the Blue Jackets this season before being traded. Prior to that, he posted 65 goals and 158 points over 234 in three seasons in Columbus.

Winnipeg is a more offence-oriented team than the Blue Jackets, so expect to see Dubois’ production rise with his new team.

Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli welcomed Jets head coach Paul Maurice to the DFO Rundown on Monday. You can listen to the show here.
