PointsBet Daily Bets: Avalanche/Canucks Puckline & Erik Gustafsson assist prop

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s jump right into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. It’s a busy slate tonight and I got two picks lined up and ready to go. Starting with the Vancouver Canucks vs Colorado Avalanche. The Canucks are on a three-game slide, they’ve got beaten up by the New York Islanders recently. The Avalanche have also lost two in a row, but they got Nathan MacKinnon back in their lineup about a week ago and I think they’re about to hit their stride here. This line also isn’t priced right, for the Avs to beat them by two or more goals at +165 that’s a really darn good payout so I love taking the Avs in this spot.

The second game we are looking at is actually a player prop in the Washington Capitals vs Columbus Blue Jackets game. I think Washington can keep their offense going and I’m targeting Erik Gustafsson. With John Carlson injured, Gustafsson has been playing top pairing minutes and if you look at Daily Faceoff and use the lines tool; he’s also on the top powerplay unit. He’s been a fantasy hockey gem, with five assists in his last five games and has picked up at least one assist in four of his last five. For him to go over 0.5 an assist tonight is paying +135 and I love that value. Love both the plus money bets tonight Frank, we got Gustafsson assist prop and Colorado on the puckline.
