PointsBet Daily Bets: Devils/Ducks Puckline & Jake Guentzel shot prop

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Matt Larkin on Friday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

Just three games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups including the New Jersey Devils vs. Anaheim Ducks and the Pittsburgh Penguins Vs. Winnipeg Jets.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s jump right into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. A relatively small slate tonight but I have a couple of plays that I don’t mind. Starting with the matchup between the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks have gotten absolutely blown out in their last two games; losing 6-2 to the Edmonton Oilers and 7-1 Boston Bruins. Things aren’t getting any easier for them as they face a Devils team that not only beat the Carolina Hurricanes this week but covered the Puckline in the process. The Ducks have lost by two or more goals in six of their last 10 games, they’ve faced some bad teams over that stretch as well. So, I like the Devils to cover the Puckline at -125, it’s not a great payout but’s a decent spot for New Jersey.

For the player prop today, I am taking Pittsburgh Penguins Jake Guentzel to go over 2.5 shots. There have been points this season where this number has been juiced up to over 3.5 but if you can get it at 2.5 get it. He’s got 15 shots on goal in his last three games, and as always he’s riding shotgun with Sidney Crosby. So I like taking Guentzel on the shot prop to go along with the Devils on the Puckline.
