PointsBet Daily Bets: Devils/Red Wings & Jesper Bratt shot prop

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Wednesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

Just three games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchup between the New Jersey Devils and Detroit Red Wings.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s jump right into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Just one game I am targeting on tonight’s slate. The New Jersey Devils taking on the Detroit Red Wings. I actually like the total in this hockey game; set at 6.5 and it’s paying -110. The Devils this season in back-to-back games, 25 total goals in four games, and that’s an average of 6.25. So a hair less than a 6.5 goal lead but you factor that in with the fact that the over has hit in four of the Red Wings’ last five games and Ville Husso is the expected starter who was great early in the year, but it’s now been four straight appearances for Husso where he’s allowed four-plus goals. I think the Devils’ offense will get it going tonight, they are playing on back-to-backs and they tend to have more than 6.5 goals when playing back-to-backs. So I like taking the over on this one.

Also a shot prop in that same game, I like taking Jesper Bratt at over 2.5 shots on goal. Over their last five games, the Red Wings have averaged 34 shots against so I think the Devils can get a lot of possession. Bratt has hit this mark in 6 of his last 10, he has missed two in a row so I think Bratt is due and it’s paying out -110. A solid payout, Bratt at over 2.5 shots and the over in Jersey.
