PointsBet Daily Bets: Flames/Canucks & Mats Zuccarello shot prop

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Matt Larkin and Steven Ellis on Wednesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

Just three games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups between the Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild vs. Detroit Red Wings.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s get to our PointsBet Daily Bets brought to you by PointsBet Canada. Starting with a matchup between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. I like taking the Flames on the puck line and if Jacob Markstrom gets the start, I like this even more because it sure feels like he’s starting to turn around his season. In four of his last five starts, he’s allowed two goals or less, the Flames have just not been giving this guy any support. But, tonight they’re taking on Spencer Martin and if you look at his recent starts, he’s allowed 12 goals against in his last three appearances including a game where he was yanked for allowing four goals on nine shots, so I like Calgary to get some offense going tonight. I think this is a good spot, they’re also on home ice, I’ll take them at +140 on the puckline.

My prop for today will be Mats Zuccarello to hit his shot prop. It’s set at 2.5 and he’s hit this in nine straight games and the payout is -130, it should be closer to -200 considering how they adjust the odds for shot props and players who go on streaks. So taking Zuccarello over 2.5 is an auto bet right now, especially at this price. Just two plays tonight as it’s a small slate.
