PointsBet Daily Bets: Jets/Sabres Moneyline & Avalanche/Blackhawks

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Mike McKenna on Thursday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

10 games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups including the Winnipeg Jets vs. Buffalo Sabres and Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s jump right into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Let’s get into the straight bets first. I bet on Connor Hellebuyck and the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night against Detroit and they lost in a high-scoring affair. Hellebuyck’s save percentage was under .800 that’s the first time this season that’s happened and only three total times in the last two seasons. So of course the one time I back Hellebuyck he has a stinker, but you know what? I’ll give him a chance to rebuild tonight. I’m going to take the Jets at -130 on the road against the Buffalo Sabres. I like the chances of them simply not losing back-to-back games and Hellebuyck not having back-to-back poor starts. So -130 is a good price for one of the best teams in the Central Division so I’m taking the Jets on the Moneyline.

Also, I’m taking the Colorado Avalanche on the puckline. This one is moving towards Colorado though, earlier it was at even money. You can still get them on the Puckline at -125 and I just don’t think that’s priced right. I think this should be one of those games with them at -180 or -190 on the puckline. They’ve won two in a row but I’ve got a feeling why the line is set where it is, before that they lost five straight games by two plus goals. So I like the Avs to bounce back from their tough loss Tuesday and win by two or more.

For my shot prop, we are looking at a parlay tonight and it’s juiced up to +167. We’re taking Quinn Hughes in Vancouver to go over 1.5 and Matty Beniers of the Seattle Kraken to go over 1.5. Hughes has hit this in five straight games, quite often getting three or four shots on goal. Matty Beniers has 11 shots in his last three games. These lines being set at 1.5 is juicy and playing them together is a great spot.
