PointsBet Daily Bets: Taking the over on Blue Jackets/Sabres & Canucks/Sharks

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Steven Ellis on Wednesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

Seven games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups: the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames at home against the Minnesota Wild.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s jump into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Starting with a matchup between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Buffalo Sabres, I love the over in this spot, it’s not paying great at -131 and it’s set at 6.5. Columbus has actually been a good under-team as of late but almost every game is ending with five or six goals. It’s not like a two or three-goal game, anything like that, so they’ve been getting close. Buffalo, on the other hand, the over has hit in eight of their last 10. It’s Korpisalo versus Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in between the pipes. Korpisalo has allowed 16 goals against in his last five, I think this is the spot where the over will hit easily. Also in this matchup, I like the Rasmus Dahlin shot prop, it’s paying -140. Columbus, giving up the second most shots against per 60 in all scenarios. So, I like Dahlin on the shot prop.

Also, in that matchup at the bottom between the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose. I like the Canucks in this spot, they’ve won seven of their last 10 and are starting to piece things back together. I like them to get the win tonight, paying -120 and I think this is a good spot because the Sharks are really struggling as well. A couple of player props in this one starting with Elias Pettersson at -130 to pick up an assist and he has hit this in three of his last five, I’ll put a full unit on that. Do you know what else he has done in three of his last five? Had a multi-point game, that is paying a juicy +170 on PointsBet for Pettersson to go over 1.5 points. My last prop is Minnesota Wild +130, they’re the road dogs against Calgary tonight but they’ve won four in a row.
