PointsBet Daily Picks: Bo Horvat shot prop

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Matt Larkin on Friday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Picks segment. 

Frank Seravalli: Let’s get to Tyler Yaremchuk with our DailyFaceoff PointsBet Daily Bets segment. Tyler, how did you do last night?

Tyler Yaremchuk: I went 2/2, it was an even wash last night so not ideal. Speaking of not ideal, there’s one game tonight in the NHL on a Friday night, that’s brutal, and that’s embarrassing. Anyways, I’ve dug up a bet for it, courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. So let’s jump into it, and honestly, I don’t like either side of this matchup between LA and Vancouver. It’s a pick ‘em game, it doesn’t do anything, I don’t see any value on either side here. Over under, nothing there, I don’t know who the Kings are going with in the net but they looked great defensively against the Oilers, I don’t want to bet either side of the over/under.

So, I’m going with a shot prop, Frank. I’m taking Bo Horvat over 2.5 shots, it doesn’t pay out great, only -170. But this guy has not only hit it recently, but he’s also been crushing it lately. He had eight shots on goal in their last game against the Buffalo Sabres, he’s hit this in four of five and just scrolling through his game logs you can see a ton of games where he’s putting up 4-5-6 shots on goal. So I like Horvat tonight, Canucks are on home ice and I think he will go over 2.5 at -170. That’s it, that’s all I have, just the one bet. 

Frank Seravalli: Well, I’m going to urge you to not overthink this, either take the Kings on the Moneyline or the Kings on the puck line. They’re 7-2-1 in their last 10 and they’re going up against a Canucks team that has struggled for a long time, while the Kings have risen to second in the Pacific Division.
