PointsBet Daily Picks: New York Rangers Moneyline & Martin Necas shot prop

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Steven Ellis on Thursday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Picks segment.

There are 13 games on the slate tonight. Tyler Yaremchuk has you covered for all your betting needs in matchups between the New York Rangers vs Seattle Kraken, Calgary Flames vs Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche vs Carolina Hurricanes.

Tyler Yaremchuk: It’s a busy slate in the NHL tonight so let’s get into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Starting with that matchup at the top, Rangers vs Kraken. I really like the New York Rangers in this game and they are starting to maybe piece things together a little bit. Since November 1st they are top-10 in the NHL in both shots for per 60 and shots against per 60 at 5-on-5 and I think they are being a little undervalued here even though they are the favorites at -136. So, yes Seattle has been a great story this year but they’ve only won three of their nine home games this season. So I actually like the Rangers at -136 and I am adding in an Artemi Panarin assist prop at -130, he’s hit this mark in four of his last five games, with six assists totalled in that span.

Also, I like the Tampa Bay Lightning at home tonight against the Calgary Flames. The Flames are maybe starting to play some decent hockey but again I think the Lightning are being undervalued here. They are 5-2-1 on the year at home and 6-3-1 in their last 10, so I like the Lightning as well. My final play is another Martin Necas shot prop. It’s quickly becoming one of my favourite bets of the season it’s paying -140 and he’s hit it in three of five but has hit it in over 60% of games this season. So I love taking Necas’s shot prop as well. That’ll do it Frank, my four plays on a busy night in the NHL.
