PointsBet Daily Picks: Vegas puck line, Ottawa/Buffalo over, and a Claude Giroux assist

In today’s episode of Daily Faceoff Live, Tyler Yaremchuk and Frank Seravalli discussed some of the best bets available on PointsBet Canada.

Frank Seravalli: That brings us to our PointsBet daily bets segment, Tyler Yaremchuk how did you do? I’m riding with you all season long so I guess I know the answer to this: 1-1?

Tyler Yaremchuk: 1-1 last night. I’ve been on Connor McDavid to score one goal, he did a bit better than that obviously, and I had the Oilers and Leafs parlay, the Oilers hit, the Leafs did not. So we are anti-Toronto today but McDavid saved the day a little bit, so 3-1 to start the season. I have three bets tonight, so let’s dig into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet.

Starting with that top matchup, Vegas hosting the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks played last night, Vegas didn’t. Vegas is the better team, this is an easy puck line for me at -140, I love it, Chicago not only played last night but they had to travel as well. I like the Golden Knights here in their home opener.

Also, the Ottawa/Buffalo game I’m going over on that one. Craig Anderson is the starter according to Dailyfaceoff.com, he had a career-low .897 save percentage last season. Anton Forsberg, he was good last season, but again early in the season, don’t love the Senators’ blueline. I think this one could go over 6.5. I’m also thinking a Claude Giroux assist, he was an assist machine when he joined the Florida Panthers last season, obviously still a top-six player, he gets top power play time as well and that +140 payout is very juicy.

So it’s the Golden Knights -1.5 goals, the over in Ottawa/Buffalo, and Claude Giroux to pick up an assist tonight. Those are my three picks for tonight.
