Predators’ Stastney out week-to-week with upper-body injury
The Nashville Predators announced Saturday that defenseman Spencer Stastney would be out week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Stastney left Friday night’s 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks after a massive hit from Dakota Joshua. Joshua was assessed a five-minute major on the play, but upon further review, the penalty was reduced to two minutes.

— Nick Kieser🏒 (@KieserNick) April 27, 2024Stastney was able to skate off the ice, walk down the tunnel under his own power, and would briefly return to the contest. He would play a few more shifts but left halfway through the second period. The 24-year-old played a total of 6:36 in Game 3.

He has scored six points in 28 career NHL games. The 2018 fifth-round pick has averaged over 13 minutes of ice time in the first two games of the series.
Vancouver took a 2-1 series lead over Nashville in game 3 and looks ahead to the game on Sunday at Bridgestone Arena.
