Projecting Sid the Kid

Last night, as I compiled our ritual Fantasy Hockey 3 Stars of the Night, I considered putting Sidney Crosby numbers 1-10. Simply put, he was electric, scoring on his third shift of the game and finishing with an impressive two goals and four points over a little more than 15 minutes. According to Sportnet’s Darren Millard, via Twitter, Sid the Kid moved up roughly 350 spots in the scoring race. He also now has an equal amount or more points than 12 of the 18 members of the New York Islanders he suited up against; in only his first game.

Last season, Crosby posted 32 goals and 66 points over 41 games which would have been 64 goals and 132 points over a full, 82-game schedule. His four points in one game would total 124 goals and 248 points. While we can’t, or shouldn’t rather, expect him to reach 150 points, Is 100 points out of the question? How about the Rocket Richard or the Art Ross? Unattainable? Feel free to put your thoughts in the comments as we open discussion on the best player in the world.
