“Lexie plays with grit and a relentless work ethic, whether it’s on the ice or in the weight room,” said PWHL Seattle General Manager Meghan Turner. “She brings energy to every shift and is the kind of player who leads by example. She’s also fantastic with fans and will be a strong ambassador for our team in the community.”
Adzija scored two goals and two assists for four points in 29 games with the Boston Fleet last season. During her first PWHL campaign, split between PWHL Ottawa and PWHL Boston, Adzija scored six goals and five assists for 11 points in 24 games.
“I’m incredibly excited and grateful to be joining PWHL Seattle and to be part of building something special in a city that was so eager to have us,” Adzija said. “Playing in front of the Seattle fans during the neutral site game was unforgettable — the energy and support were amazing. I can’t wait to represent this city, bring my grit on the ice, and show up with some game day style alongside an incredible group of players.”
Through five seasons of college hockey at Quinnipiac University, Adzija scored 43 goals and 66 assists for 109 points in 151 career games. Her best season came in 2019-20, scoring 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 34 games.
Earlier in the day, The Hockey News’ Ian Kennedy reported that Mariah Keopple signed with PWHL Seattle. In 53 career PWHL games, Keopple has three goals and four assists for seven points with a plus-three rating.
