Another player is out the door in the nation’s capital.

On Wednesday, PWHL Seattle announced the team has signed forward Natalie Snodgrass to a one-year contract for the 2024-25 season.

“I want to thank Meghan Turner and the PWHL Seattle organization for giving me this opportunity,” Snodgrass said in release. “I believe playing professional hockey is a privilege, and I’ll do whatever I can to help this organization succeed on and off the ice. I’m excited for new teammates, experiences, and success in Seattle.”

Snodgrass is one of many longtime members of the Ottawa Charge who have moved on. The team lost goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer to Vancouver during the team’s exclusive signing period, with leading scorer Tereza Vanisova also moving to British Columbia. To date, nine players who were on the Charge last season have gone elsewhere, either through the expansion process or free agency.

Snodgrass has been with Ottawa since she made the team out of training camp heading into the league’s first season. She had a solid first year with the organization, scoring a goal and five assists for six points in 23 games. She didn’t play as much in year two, appearing in only 21 games, not playing in any of the playoff games as the Charge made it all the way to the PWHL Final, ultimately losing to the Minnesota Frost in four games.

Snodgrass scored a goal and an assist for Ottawa this past year, posting a plus/minus of -2 while averaging around seven minutes of ice time per game.

In 44 career games in the PWHL, the Eagan, Minnesota native has posted two goals and six assists for eight points.

Snodgrass joins an already talented group in Seattle. She rejoins former Charge teammates Aneta Tejralová and Danielle Serdachny, along with getting the chance to play alongside the likes of Hilary Knight, Alex Carpener and Hannah Bilka.
