The Amherst, N.S., native only dressed for one game for Toronto in the team’s inaugural season, but those who follow the club know Jackson’s presence was felt, instantly becoming a fan favorite.
“We are excited to complete our goalie trio with the re-signing of Carly Jackson,” General Manager Gina Kingsbury in a press release. “CJ is a great competitor and one of the best teammates who makes our organization better on and off the ice.”
Jackson joined Toronto through a camp invite, becoming the club’s No. 3 goalie behind Kristen Campbell and Erica Howe. Before the formation of the PWHL, Jackson was a member of the 2022-23 PHF Isobel Cup-winning Toronto Six, where in six games, they had a 5-0-0 record, a 1.90 GAA and .926 SV%.

Before joining the Six, Jackson spent two seasons with the PHF’s Buffalo Beauts, compiling a 7-15-0 record with a .905 SV%.
Jackson played four seasons at the University of Maine, having an impact right away, posting a .911 SV% and 2.84 GAA in 27 games in their freshman campaign. Over the next three seasons, Jackson would never post a save percentage lower than .920 or goals-against-average higher than 2.07. They would graduate with a 45-55-18 record, 2.15 GAA and .923 SV%, all University of Maine records.
The 27-year-old is expected to be Toronto’s third-string goalie in 2024-25, with Campbell, the reigning Goalie of the Year, expected to start, and 2024 seventh-round pick Raygan Kirk likely serving as the primary backup.
