Report: Stars games to be broadcast on Amazon Prime

The Dallas Stars’ broadcasts are moving to Amazon Prime, growing Amazon Prime’s hockey coverage in the United States after the streaming service entered the National Hockey League in Canada over the past two seasons. 

The team has yet to comment officially, but a report from DLLS Sports suggests the Stars are set to leave Victory+ for their game broadcasts, taking on Amazon Prime and “potentially one other platform,” starting with the 84-game season in 2026-27. 

With the Stars set to take on the Amazon service, they would join the Seattle Kraken with the provider and follow a trend of teams leaving Victory+, after the Texas Rangers left for BZZR and reports suggested the Anaheim Ducks could leave soon as well. 

While games would not be free nor entirely available on local linear channels, the Prime Video option could bring Stars hockey into more homes than Victory+, as it would be included as part of the popular Amazon Prime subscription. 

In addition to the local broadcasts, the Stars will be featured 13 times on national TV, making them one of the most popular teams to grace screens coast to coast this season. 

For fans tuning into Stars broadcasts, they’ll be treated to the team’s hunt for another season of Stanley Cup contention, after finishing second in the Central Division and Western Conference in 2025-26 with a record of 50-20-12. The key will be the playoffs, though, as they seek another deep run into the postseason after suffering second-round elimination at the feet of the Minnesota Wild last season. 

Led by head coach Glen Gulutzan and star forwards Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston, the Stars open the NHL preseason on Sept. 19 with a visit to the St. Louis Blues, before dropping the puck on the regular-season schedule on Oct. 2 against the same Blues, but on home ice.
